Composer also provides for an XML-driven, web service middle-ware option. Once installed as part of the Composer deployment at the client site, it enables Composer processing over the Internet. Functionally, it enables members, employers, branch offices, related agencies, and financial advisers to access and modify Composer data via a standard web browser.  This functionality can be integrated into an existing Web site or can be launched using the Web presentation layer that InfoComp has developed and which can be branded individually by clients to make it look like their own Web site. Running Composer over the Internet is comparable to running Composer on a desktop computer in that when generating responses to users, it performs the same work and reads the same database tables as do Composer screens. Additionally, it includes a flexible, role-based security component, so that application security is maintained, and authentication and authorization are enforced.
